Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Atlas ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use try-atlas.app and the Atlas service (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile details you provide through our auth provider (Clerk).
- Content you create. Tasks, workflows, schedules, briefings, run history, and any text you enter into Atlas.
- API keys you bring. If you add your own Gemini API key, it is stored to run your tasks. We do not share it and you can remove it at any time.
- Third-party connections. If you connect Google Sheets or similar integrations, we store the OAuth tokens required to operate them on your behalf.
- Usage data. Basic analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) collected via Google Analytics 4 only if you accept cookies.
- Logs. Server logs including IP address, timestamps, and error traces, retained for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
2. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To run the tasks and automations you configure.
- To send you transactional messages (e.g., task alerts you enabled).
- To detect abuse, fraud, and security issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers who help us run Atlas: Clerk (authentication), our hosting and database providers, Google (Gemini API and optional Sheets integration), and Google Analytics (only with cookie consent). Each provider processes data under their own terms.
4. Your choices
- Access, export, or delete. Email us to request a copy of your data or have your account and data deleted.
- Cookies. You can accept or reject analytics cookies from the banner shown on first visit, and change your choice later by clearing site data.
- Disconnect integrations. Revoke Google access from your Atlas settings or your Google Account.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your content within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep it.
6. Security
We use HTTPS in transit, encrypted database storage, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong password and don't reuse credentials.
7. Children
Atlas is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
8. International users
Atlas is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you consent to the transfer of your information to the U.S. and its processing there.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date.
